Purchase Orders

If you are a school, college, university, hospital or government agency we can offer you the facility to invoice your purchase orders on credit terms.

Please note we only accept purchase orders from organisations based in the United Kingdom.

To submit your PO via our website simply add the item(s) to your shopping cart, choose the Pay with Purchase Order option during checkout and complete the form.  If this facility is not yet available on the website please submit your scanned purchase order by email to or by post to:

If you choose to email your PO rather than complete an on-line order please send it to  Please make sure the PO is submitted using a formalised document and include the following information:

  • Customer's letterhead or formal Purchase Order document
  • Purchase Order number
  • Purchase Order issue date
  • Contact name (phone, email address, name)
  • Billing address
  • Shipping address
  • Accounts Payable contact information
  • List of product part number(s) and product description as well as quantities
  • Unit price of each item
  • Total amount
  • Carriage Charge from website.  Please fill a basket, select your delivery area and the carriage charge will be displayed.

If some of the above information is missing on your formal PO, please make sure to include this information in your email for faster order processing.

Upon approval of terms, we will send an email confirmation of the order.

For Government, Schools, Colleges and Universities no credit reference is required. Net 30 day  payment terms will be granted upon verification.

Our Purchase Order Process is simple:

  • We receive the PO
  • You will receive a PO Acknowledgment (Sales Order) from us within 48 hours of submitting the PO to your email on record. If we have any questions, we will email prior to sending the Sales Order Acknowledgment.
  • We invoice you when the order ships.

Unless books are requested for urgent dispatch, Thinking Books will use the least costly route for delivery and charge accordingly.

Payment Methods

For Purchase Orders we accept payment via bank transfer, credit cards or cheque. Thinking Books' Bank details are included in the Invoice.
