Placing orders using Purchase Orders

New Online Purchase Order Accounts

If you qualify for purchase Ordering as per the notice below, set up an account on the website. Please then email us using the email you registered with and we will activate your account for Purchase Ordering.

Note you must include a purchase order number on your order or we will not be able to process the order.

Terms & Conditions of Purchase Ordering

Agreed Terms
Please note customers who do not pay on agreed terms may have this facility removed at any point at the discretion of Thinking Books Ltd.  Out terms are 30 days from the date of Invoice.

Permitted Accounts
If you are a school, college, university, hospital or government agency we will accept purchase orders.  An invoice will be sent with the order.  For other organisations please set up your account and email your email address for our consideration.

Emailed Purchase Orders
We will still accept emailed Purchase Orders but due to the volume of these there may be a delay in processing your Order.

Please submit your scanned or PDF purchase order by email to or by post to:

Please note we only accept purchase orders from organisations based in the United Kingdom.

Please make sure the PO is submitted using a formalised document and include the following information:

  • Customer's letterhead or formal Purchase Order document
  • Purchase Order number
  • Purchase Order issue date
  • Contact name (phone, email address, name)
  • Billing address
  • Shipping address
  • Accounts Payable contact information
  • List of product part number(s) and product description as well as quantities
  • Unit price of each item
  • Total amount
  • Carriage Charge from website.  Please fill a basket, select your delivery area and the carriage charge will be displayed.

If some of the above information is missing on your formal PO, please make sure to include this information in your email for faster order processing.

Once the order has been processed, we will send an email confirmation of the order.

For Government, Schools, Colleges and Universities no credit reference is required. Net 30 day payment terms will be granted.

Our Purchase Order Process is simple:

  • For all ‘Pay on Account’ orders goods will normally be shipped within one to two working days from the order being added to our system.
  • For emailed and posted orders we will add the order to our system normally within one to two working days or receiving the order and the goods will normally be shipped within one to two working days of the order being entered.
  • You will should receive an order or dispatch acknowledgement from us within 2 working days of submitting the PO. If we have any questions, we will email prior to sending an acknowledgement or dispatch email.
  • We will send an invoice with your order or to your invoice address when the order ships.

Unless books are requested for urgent dispatch, Thinking Books will use the least costly route for delivery and charge accordingly.

Payment Methods
For Purchase Orders we accept payment via bank transfer, credit cards or cheque. Thinking Books' Bank details are printed on the invoice.
